St. Philip’s uses a church record keeping software called Realm. This innovative system serves the administrative needs of our staff, but it also offers some exciting opportunities to support the way you are involved in our church. Sometimes questions come up about using the software. Here are some FAQs about using Realm.

What is Realm?
Realm is an online ministry tool designed for real time connection. It helps our church connect with you and you connect with us. If you consider yourself part of this church family, you’ll love it. Realm allows you to manage your personal information and who is allowed to see it, control your giving, and keep in touch with the groups that matter to you.

Why use Realm?
Being the church doesn’t just happen at the church. Realm helps us serve you better and leads this church well between Sundays. Everyone can be connected from anywhere at any time, right from our mobile devices. It engages everyone in the life of our church by supporting the healthy relationships essential to our church’s mission. We’ll stay organized, and you’ll stay informed about all of the opportunities for fellowship. When we share life together, we will grow together.

What about my privacy?
Your privacy is one of our greatest concerns. Realm is only made up of the people in your church, it’s not like a social network that’s open to everyone. Realm keeps your data safe and gives you control over what information you share and who can see it.

What about giving?
Giving should be easy, and Realm places giving right in the palm of your hands. You may set up recurring gifts, view your giving history, and make changes at any time. Realm automatically records all electronic gifts and adds them to your giving record making it easy for you to give, and easy for our bookkeeper to track.


It’s Easy to Get Started

Step 1: Check your email and activate your profile
If you have an email address on file with the church, you should have received an email message from us inviting you to join Realm, our online community. Open the email and follow the instructions to create your password. Then watch for a verification email, and follow the instructions to activate your profile. If you do not receive an email invitation and know that you have a valid email address on file with the church, please check your spam/junk folder. If the email invitation isn’t there, or if you haven’t given the church an email address, contact the church office.

Step 2: Check your contact information and privacy settings
After you have activated your profile and logged in, click on the arrow next to your name in the upper right corner of your profile screen. Select “My Profile” to check the information about you and your privacy settings. Click on “Edit Profile” to change your contact information. To see your privacy settings, click on “Manage Privacy.” If you prefer to keep certain information private, you can choose one of the other options.

Step 3: Upload a photo of yourself
Connecting a name with a face helps us get to know each other. Please add a headshot that shows your face clearly. To upload a photo from your computer, click on the circle containing your initials.

Step 4: If you use a smartphone or tablet, get the Realm App
After you have activated your profile, you can use Realm on your smartphone or tablet. To download app from the Apple App Store click here or the Google Play Store click here.

Click on the choices in the left column to see news, your giving history, ministry groups that you belong to or may want to join, our church directory, and more!
